The BeatsWell Selection Process
In a world full of wellness choices, quality starts with selection.
BeatsWell exists to provide direction. We bring peace of mind to a market full of trends and advice. By doing the groundwork. Every product you find with us is a conscious decision. No coincidence. No hype.
Our selection is based on a clear standard: transparency, scientific substantiation, quality ingredients, and practicality for everyday use. Together with a panel of experts, we define the standard by which products must comply. From there, we select, test, and refine.
But BeatsWell is more than just a checklist. We also listen to our community: for feedback, sustainable routines, and tools that make a difference. This is how The BeatsWell Edit was created. A carefully curated selection of products that align with a modern, holistic approach to wellbeing.
This is wellness, filtered. Clear, reliable, and designed to help you move forward.

01. Expert Standard
Every selection starts with a clear standard. Together with a carefully chosen panel of experts, we set the bar: what matters in terms of ingredients, safety, quality, and daily use. BeatsWell translates this into a benchmark that every product must meet.
-
02. Brand Selection
Based on this standard, BeatsWell selects brands that look beyond trends and marketing. Brands that are transparent about their ingredients and origin. We consciously choose a small and carefully curated range: only products that pass our test are included. This way, you know that every product has been chosen with care.
-
03. Community Feedback
Our community is an essential part of how BeatsWell develops. Real experiences and honest feedback help us determine which products stay, grow, or disappear. No product has a permanent place. Every product must continue to earn it.

List of Excluded Ingredients
Artificial colorants
These are added for appearance, not function. They have no nutritional value and have been linked to hyperactivity and allergic reactions. You often find them in cheap supplements, gummy vitamins, and protein shakes.
Parabens
Preservatives classified as hormone disruptors. They can accumulate in body tissues with repeated use. They are common in skin care products and supplement coatings.
Artificial flavors
Synthetic flavorings that contribute nothing to your health. They often mask the low quality of a product. They are common in protein powders, pre-workouts, and functional snacks.
Aluminum compounds (for ingestion and on the skin)
Aluminum accumulates in the body with repeated use. It's unnecessary in products intended for daily, long-term use. It's found in antacids, some mineral blends, skin care products, and deodorants.
Vanillin (synthetic)
A cheap, lab-grown alternative to real vanilla. Used to add flavor without the nutrients of the actual plant. Commonly used in protein shakes and flavored supplements.
Aspartame
An artificial sweetener with no scientific consensus regarding long-term use. It may affect gut flora and eating habits. Common in sugar-free supplements, electrolytes, and pre-workouts.
Synthetic fragrance (parfum / fragrance)
A collective term often used to describe hundreds of synthetic compounds. One of the leading causes of skin irritation and allergic reactions. Found in skincare, body care, and supplement packaging. BeatsWell only permits fragrances derived from explicitly designated essential oils.
MSG (monosodium glutamate)
A flavor enhancer linked to headaches, nausea, and overeating in sensitive individuals. Found in meal replacements and some functional food products.
BHA / BHT
Synthetic antioxidants used as preservatives. There are concerns about hormonal disruption with long-term use. They are found in packaged snacks, bars, and some supplements.
Saccharin
One of the oldest artificial sweeteners, with a controversial safety profile. It has no nutritional value and contributes to unhealthy sugar cravings. It is used in inexpensive sugar-free products.
Polysorbate 80 (for oral use)
An emulsifier linked to potential intestinal wall disruption and low-grade inflammation. New research warrants caution. Available in capsules, gummies, and liquid supplements.
Phthalates
Plasticizers linked to hormonal disruption and identified as potentially harmful with prolonged exposure. Found in plastic packaging and some supplement coatings.
Sodium nitrate (for intake)
A preservative that can convert into harmful compounds when heated. Unnecessary in premium products with good formulations. Found in meal replacements and performance snacks.
How we select
Not every product makes our selection. This is what we look for.
What we are looking for
-
Scientific evidence
We prioritize ingredients that are supported by sound research.
-
Ingredients & production
We look at origin, purity, and the production process. Many supplements use cheap raw materials or unnecessary fillers.
-
Transparency & testing
We select brands that are transparent about their ingredients and production. Third-party testing and quality control are important.
-
Active formulation
The right form, specifications, dosage, and combination of ingredients determine whether a product actually has an effect.
What we avoid
-
Exaggerated claims
No miracle promises or marketing that distorts evidence or science.
-
Unclear dosage
Ingredients or products whose exact content or quantity is not stated.
-
Unnecessary or harmful additives
Artificial sweeteners, synthetic additives, or ingredients that do not help your health.
-
Hype ingredients
New ingredients without clear and well-founded substantiation.

Every product continues to prove itself
Selected for the long term. Less noise, more direction. Not a one-time selection, but an ongoing process. Products that continue to prove themselves, not just on paper.
